The weather was beautiful on September 8 as hundreds of area residents, business leaders, partnering school district administrators, alumni, students, and staff gathered at Laurel Oaks Career Campus to see the new campus building and review the construction and renovations, which are nearly complete. A ribbon-cutting ceremony was held at the new campus entrance, and Governor DeWine spoke to the crowd.
About 150 people came forward to cut the ribbon.
Construction began two years ago on a project to renovate and expand the Laurel Oaks Career Campus in Wilmington. The project included a structure to connect the two main campus buildings, increasing safety and security while providing new space for students to work and study.
