The West Clermont High School/Great Oaks Business Professionals America (BPA) chapter inducted new officers on September 23rd. The 2019-2020 chapter officers are Paige Ziska, President; Emma Krebs, Vice President; Hannah Thacker, Secretary; Brendan Haught, Treasurer; Avery Danislavs, Historian; Jenna Batchler, Parliamentarian; and Madison Downs, Reporter. Shayler Adams was selected as Senior Representative and Zak Franz as Junior Representative. In addition, new members and officers of the local chapter of the National Technical Honor Society were inducted for their academic achievements as part of a career program.  New members inducted included seniors Shayler Adams and Brendan Haught, and juniors Luke Kamphaus and Davis LaGana.

The BPA chapter also held its torch ceremony on September 23rd. The Torch Awards are meant to promote professionalism and leadership in career growth and personal growth. Each year, the BPA chapter completes activities in the following categories: Leadership, Service, Patriotism, Cooperation, Knowledge, Friendship, and Love, Faith and Hope. 

BPA members are part of the Business Management and Financial Services program, a Great Oaks satellite program within the Business and Technology small school at West Clermont High School. The students participate in Business Professionals of America to improve their leadership, technology, and professional skills. In January, the students will be competing in regional contests that could lead them to state and national business competitions each year.
