Diamond Oaks computer students win 34 medals in regional business competition

The Diamond Oaks Computer Service Technician and Networking and Web Applications and Game Development students made a huge impact at recent Business Professionals of America (BPA) regional competition.  The 29 students brought home 34 team or individual medals and 17 honorable mentions.  Thirteen of the students will go on to compete at the state level.

The first five students in each category are awarded a certificate of excellence; the top three also win medals.  Those who earn the highest scores in each category will also compete at the state BPA competition.

Moving on to state are:

  • Mina Bolser (Mt. Healthy), Luke Kellett (Finneytown), Nicholas Lindner (Oak Hills), and Kennedy Reliford (North College Hill), who earned first place in the Network Design Team event.
  • Braydon Brunow (Harrison), Roland Jacobs (Harrison), and Thomas Roth (Mt. Healthy), first place in the Administrative Support Team event.
  • Charles Becker (Taylor), first place in the Presentation Management Individual event.
  • Kayla Ruehlman (Harrison), second place, Database Application.
  • Noah Macke (Winton Woods), first place, PC Servicing and Troubleshooting.
  • Danial Holcomb (Oak Hills), first place, Network Administration using Microsoft.
  • Sean Mason (Quaker Digital Academy), first place, Computer Security.
  • Joshua Gardner (Finneytown), first place, Fundamentals of Web Design.
