Chef Lucille Militello, culinary instructor at Scarlet Oaks Career Campus, was honored by her professional peers as the Culinary Educator of the Year by Les Chefs DeCuisine Association. 

“Chef Militello has done great things with the students of Scarlet Oaks,” said Association President Chef Kenneth Weber.  He said that Militello, who received the John Sector Award in memory of a former association member, exemplifies dedication to culinary students and the culinary profession.

Lucille Militello joined the Great Oaks staff as a culinary instructor in 1997.  She was previously an instructor in New York, and also worked as a chef in several restaurants in new York.

Les Chefs DeCuisine Association is a local branch of the American Culinary Federation, the premier professional chef’s organization in the United States, with more than 20,000 members nationwide.
