Great Oaks students excel at BPA state competition

Nineteen students from Great Oaks campuses and satellite programs made it to the top ten in their category at state Business Professionals of America competition in Columbus, and two students will move on to national competition in Reno, Nevada.

 

Students from the Live Oaks interactive media program, the Live Oaks and Diamond Oaks computer service technician and networking (CSTN) programs, and the Great Oaks business management program at Amelia High School were among hundreds of competitors from across Ohio.  The competition gave top students from career and technical programs the chance to demonstrate their skills, work in teams, and give public presentations.

 

Craig Ihlendorf, a senior from Deer Park in the Live Oaks CSTN program, placed second in the PC Servicing and Troubleshooting event and Dylan Dove, a senior from Mt. Healthy in the Diamond Oaks CSTN program, placed third in the same event.  They will represent the Great Oaks Career Campuses in national competition.

Top ten:  Zach Kimmerly (Milford)

 

Web Site Design Team

Top ten:  Sean Farnum (Madeira), Hannah Henkel (Madeira), Matthew Miracle (Madeira), and Megan Slusher (Amelia)

 

Top ten competitors from the Diamond Oaks computer service technician and networking program are:
