Six students at the Live Oaks Career Campus of Great Oaks have been honored as Students of the Month. They are:

Michelle Vennemeyer, Milford
April Meeks, a junior from Loveland is in the CAD program at Live Oaks Career Campus. Her interest is in architecture, and she has just completed a floor plan for The Offerings Retrust Center LLC, which will be used to obtain a building use permit. April is now a contestant in an architectural design contest, to design a dentist office. April was nominated by her instructor Richard Rolfert.
Brian Olson, an Amelia senior in the Pre-Engineering Program at Live Oaks Career Campus has been selected as January Student of the Month. Brian was nominated by his career tech instructor, Jeff Smith.
Brian has co-oped at General Tool since June of 2007. Brian has been an outstanding employee for General Tool working in each of the five major areas of the company: Machining, Welding/Fabrication, Assembly, Programming and Quality Control. Brian has been equally impressive at school, maintaining high grades in each of his academic classes.
Kristin Pfau, a Goshen senior in Business Management and Administrative Services at Live Oaks Career Campus was nominated for Student of the Month for a variety of reasons. Her instructor Carolyn Hellman said, “There is no other student that I have known who will try as hard as Kristin. If there is something that she doesn’t understand, she will stay with it until she figures it out. I can always depend on Kristin and really appreciate her in my class. I am very blessed to have Kristin Pfau as a student in the Business Management and Administrative Services Program.”
Michelle Vennemeyer, a Milford junior in Animal Science & Management at Live Oaks Career Campus is a great asset to the Animal Science Program. She was nominated for January Student of the Month by her instructor Lisa Erhardt who has this to say about Michelle: “She has a true passion and love for animals and is willing to do whatever is asked of her. Michelle gets along great with all her classmates and is always willing to help them when she is done with her jobs. Michelle will be very successful in the Animal Field in the future.”
Morgan Canter is an Amelia junior in the Health Tech program at Live Oaks. She was selected as student of the month because of her outstanding attitude and hard work. Her instructor Ann Compton says, “Morgan is a kind and considerate young lady who demonstrates an exemplary work ethic in everything she does. Morgan is an active member of our Skills USA organization. She attended the fall leadership conference as a voting delegate and will be representing our chapter in Basic Health Care at regional competition in March. She has been on A/B honor roll both quarters and was also selected by her social studies teacher to attend a legislative luncheon later this month.”
Auto Collision Student of the Month is Chris Branham, a junior from Goshen, nominated by his instructor Allen Simpson. Mr. Simpson said, “Chris is an excellent student that works very hard in the classroom and lab. He got first place out of juniors and seniors in the Skills USA competition and will be competing against students in other schools in March. Chris has the ability to be very successful in the auto collision field.”
