Rachel Wood and Heidi Davidson have been honored as the January Students of the Month at the Laurel Oaks Career Campus of Great Oaks.

Rachel is senior in the Auto Mechanic Program from Greenfield High School.  Rachel was selected due to her grades, attendance, positive attitude and willingness to help others.  She was nominated by her instructor, Charles Overbee, who said, “Rachel is willing to do whatever it takes to be successful in her career.  She is willing to help other students and has great work ethic.”

Heidi Davidson, a junior Cosmetology student from Lynchburg-Clay High School. 
Cosmetology instructor Debby Neu praised her, saying “Heidi is always prepared in lab and willing to help other students. She is a good overall student.”  

Students of the Month are nominated by teachers and staff who recognize exemplary efforts.

The students were honored with a luncheon along with their parents and representatives from their home high school, and a certificate included in their school records.
