Laurel Oaks student recieves 1st place in speech contest

The Southern Ohio Educational Service Center recently had a speech contest in which Clinton County high school students were given the opportunity to give a speech written by a Clinton County man.  The speech is called  I Speak for Youth and was written by  Elmer A. Williams. 

Seth Carpenter, a junior Laurel Oaks Construction and Wilmington High School student won the contest.  Seth won $100.00 and a plaque.
