Law Enforcement Firearms In-service & HB218 (Retired)

Great Oaks Police Academy is offering a firearms course to meet the Ohio Peace Officer Training Council (OPOTC) annual in-service mandate for active police officers and honorably retired (HB218) officers. The course will review firearms home safety, malfunction drills, range/firearm rules/regulations and range practice of the OPOTC handgun and shotgun shooting stages.

 

A laminated certification card will be issued to retired (HB218) officers upon successful qualification.

 

Students are required to bring belt, holster and 2 speed-loaders or 2 magazines.

 

Cost: $50.00 per handgun includes up to 100 rounds of .380, .38, 9mm, .40 or .45.

           $47.00 per shotgun includes 12 gage 00 buck and slug shotgun shells.

 

          $45.00 per weapon if student provides own ammunition.

         

Extra handgun ammunition is available for .380, .38, 9mm, .40 or .45 at $12.00 per box of 50, shotgun shells are available on as needed basis.

 

Minimum class size - Five.

Great Oaks firearms instructors are (OPOTC) certified.
