Ford ASSET Success Story, Son follows his father into the ASSET program:

Danny Beatty, Jr. entered the Ford ASSET program in 1990 and graduated in 1992.  He had spent 4 years in the Army working on tanks, M60 and MI Abrams fire control and hydraulic systems.  After his Army discharge, he heard about the program through a Lincoln-Mercury dealer and decided to enroll.  Last year, his son, Danny Beatty III, announced that he had been accepted at Ball State to study Zoology.  Danny said that he did not think he wanted to attend college for 4 years.  He said he was interested in the Ford ASSET program and wanted to work with his father.  Needless to say, the father was very happy.  His son is doing well in the program and is on his way to a great career as an automotive technician.  Danny Beatty III is on track to graduate in 2008.
