Adam always knew he was a "hands on" person. He describes himself as a mechanical person. He graduated from college with a psychology degree and worked in the research field. He sat at a computer the bulk of the day and wore a lab coat. He knew he wanted a job in which he could be more comfortable, move around, and work with his hands. He got a job at Home Depot in the installation department and discovered that sub-contractors were making a lot of money. A good friend told him about the H.V.A.C. program at Great Oaks. Adam toured and immediately knew this was the work he was meant to do. He graduated in 2001. For 4 years, he worked as a technician/installer for Energy Diagnostics, Inc. He also taught the part-time Air Conditioning and Heating program at Great Oaks and gained valuable teaching experience. In 2005, he accepted the instructor's
