| Brett Vidal is a 2004 graduate of Great Oaks' Heating/Ventilating and Air Conditioning Program. Brett had been working for a security shredder business and knew he wanted to do something more "hands-on." He knew that he did not want to sit behind a desk. His grandfather taught him how to clean an oil furnace, which got him excited about this career area. His father told him about the program and he called for information. He enrolled and started the following September. He loved his instructor and enjoyed the hands-on aspect of the program. He had plenty of opportunity to demonstrate and learn troubleshooting, service and repair of all HVAC equipment. After graduation, he got a job as an HVAC service technician at Schibi Heating and Air Conditioning. Brett just completed a welding program at Diamond Oaks and has gained another skill that will help him in his current job. Brett says that his training at Great Oaks prepared him to enter the growing and challenging HVAC industry.
