We try very hard to make information available to you from your home school. We WANT you to participate in activities at your home school. After all, you will receive your High School Diploma from them! Here are some of the ways you can keep in touch with your home school:
In the Education Building and in the Agriculture Center we have display cases where we post information about your school as we get it from the home school. We encourage you to get into the habit of checking each day, either before school or during your lunch time.
Each day there is a daily bulletin sent out. Each school has a section on this bulletin for announcements. Many teachers post this in the classroom, but feel free to ask any staff member to see it!
Once a month, when schedules permit, a home school counselor will be on-campus and available to talk with students during the B.U.G. period. Additionally, if there is a special occasion, home school counselors may request to meet with students individually or in groups during the B.U.G. period.
On our website, we have links to each home school. Depending on your home school webpage, you can keep up with current events that way.
Here at Laurel, we make every effort to enable students to participate in home school activities, such as sports, pep assemblies, class meetings etc. Please ask your lab instructor if you have questions about release time.
