Mary Wilcox knows “Diamond Oaks turned my life around.”  Wilcox, a 1995 graduate of Sycamore High School and Diamond Oaks Sales and Marketing program, is now the owner of Liberty Food Group in Buffalo New York.  Her company, a partnership started about 5 years ago, buys food from manufacturers and resells it to food banks and non-profit businesses throughout the United States.

“I use every aspect of what I learned at Diamond Oaks,” said Wilcox and feels that these lessons were so cemented because, “Diamond Oaks was so much different than my home school.  Diamond was more personal;  the classes were smaller, the teachers gave us more one-on-one time and I always felt like someone was following up on me, making sure I did what needed to get done,” continued Wilcox.  “The whole experience was about the teachers remaining positive and reaching out to us.” Completing her Bachelors in Sociology from SUNY at Buffalo, Wilcox feels strongly that, “Diamond brought me directly onto my pathway to college.”
