Chad grew up around cars; his dad works in the field as an auto body technician. Chad said that Laurel Oaks “gave me the basic skills to give me a jumpstart.” His parents supported his decision to attend because they knew it would give him “a solid foundation and know-how.” Chad talked about retired instructor Mr. Davis who “always made class seem fun by focusing the lessons on what we were interested in. If we ever had problems—in school or in life—he helped us get them taken care of.” Enjoying the independence of the automotive field, Chad shared that the best thing he took away from Laurel Oaks was “how to do the job right!”
