Amanda Richmond had been around kids her whole life. With young twin brothers to help care for, Amanda knew she wanted to get into Early Childhood Education (ECE). After attending Live Oaks and graduating from Batavia in 2000, Amanda is now the administrator of the Youthland Academy in Eastgate. “The Early Childhood Education program at Live Oaks taught me so much about child development and what I learned there has stuck with me.” Amanda also shares that her instructor Mrs. Cistari made a big impact on her life. “She was the best and always made me believe that I can achieve!” Since graduation, Amanda has completed her Child Development Associate certification and plans to continue her education in business management. Amanda currently serves on the Live Oaks ECE business advisory council. “The best part of working with kids is the impact we have on them. Parents today don’t have a lot of time and it’s our job to help them out!”
