Tracey Higginbotham Peters--1991 Early Childhood Education

Students at Cincinnati Public School’s Dater Montessori learn lessons every day from their teacher and Diamond Oaks graduate Tracey Peters.  A 1991 alumni of Diamond’s Early Childhood program, Tracey went on to Xavier University where she received her Bachelor’s of Social Sciences  in Montessori Education in 1995.  “The Early Childhood Education program at Diamond treated us just like college interns,” an experience Tracey learned first-hand through her college studies.  She shares that her parents worried about whether Diamond would allow her to go on to college—but Tracey had their full support and later received college scholarships which covered a large portion of her tuition.  “I would not be where I am today without the exposure and experiences that Diamond Oaks provided me.”  Tracey credits her instructor Geri Dare with “opening her eyes” to a focused career path as a Montessori educator.
