Scarlet Oaks Parents

Leah Wei with her grandmother Nancy Li at Scarlet Oaks' Parent-Teacher Conference Night

"We were somewhat apprehensive when our son made the decision to switch from a small private school to a vocational program.  But he knew what he wanted, and we supported him in that decision.   We are very pleased by his success at Scarlet (he is on the honor roll) and the support that he receives from the teaching staff.  We like that the emphasis is very much on a business environment; we feel that it is preparing him for the future.  Rob is very excited about the career path that he has chosen and his passion carries over into his home life (he is currently building a computer at home).  He has decided to continue his education at Cincinnati State after his graduation.

I think that there is a perception about vocational education that it is for the kids, who can’t make the grade in regular school.  That could not be farther from the truth.  We need to redefine our view of education and how we prepare our children to be successful adults."

"All the instructors/teachers have been very informative regarding all areas.  Always kind, considerate and helpful.  Always respond to emails, etc.  All show concern for our child."

"Our son really enjoys the school.  He looks forward to coming everyday.  He works very well when his environment is structured and professional and he is treated like a young adult instead of like a student number.”

"So far my experience has been very positive and I feel the same for my son.  The respect to children (students) and adults back & forth is wonderful.  I think more parents of freshmen & sophomore students need to be aware of the opportunities you have to offer."
