Firefighter Program
Public Safety Services offers a wide variety of firefighter programs. Our program meets the training needs from the entry level firefighter to the chief officer. Please call 513.771.1142 to register or for further information.

2700-Volunteer Firefighter (36 hours)
A basic class to meet the needs of the volunteer firefighter. It meets components of the NFPA 1001, Chapter 3 standard. Meets the Ohio requirements for the 1A training.

2715-Firefighter I (120 hours)
This courses meets NFPA 1001 Firefighter I and meets Ohio certification requirements. Please check with your local jurisdiction to ensure you meet your state's requirements. Addresses and completes requirements and objectives of NFPA 1001-Firefighter I. This course is accredited under the NPQS.

2710-Firefighter II (120 hours)- prerequisite is Firefighter I
This course meets NFPA 1001 Firefighter II and meets Ohio certification requirements. Please check with your local jurisdiction to ensure you meet your state's requirements. Addresses and completes requirements and objectives of NFPA 1001-Firefighter II. This course is accredited under the NPQS.

2720-Firefighter I/II (240 hours)
The course meets requirements for both Firefighter I and II in an intensive six week class. This course is accredited under the NPQS.

2665-Getting Out Alive (16 hours)
A 16-hour class, which specifically deals with firefighter survival and Rapid Intervention Teams. All students need complete PPE, SCBA and spare bottle. This is a hands-on class that includes many different scenarios dealing with firefighter rescue. Students should be in good physical shape. Kneepads are a good idea.

2670-Flashover Survival Training (4 hours)
This course is designed to teach firefighters signs of impending flashover through lecture and live fire training. All students need complete PPE, SCBA and spare cylinder. Equipment will be inspected and approved prior to live fire.
