From:  Nancy Mulvey, Dean of Instruction

We have had a great first quarter for the 2009-10 school year.  The Phase 2 construction has begun and we are working on building our new structure for the front of the building.  As with any construction project there are challenges with noise and other inconveniences.  Please bear with us as we go through our building renovations.

The week of October 19-23, 2009 was spirit week with the theme of “United Diamond Week”.  We had a penny war competition and raised over $700 for United Way. 1st place went to our Health Tech Seniors, 2nd place to Equine Science and Management and 3rd place to Veterinary Assisting.

Diamond Oaks is committed to providing quality instruction as well as a quality learning environment. In order for us to receive feedback on our work, we are asking all of our parents to take an online Parent Survey.  This survey is on our homepage at www.greatoaks.com.  This survey will be available during the month of November.

Be sure to mark your calendar for the following upcoming events.

Thursday, November 5, 2009 2:30-7:30 pm Parent Conferences

Tuesday, November 24, 2009 8:00-10:00 am and 12:00-2:00 pm “Bring Your Family to Lab Day”

Wednesday, November 25-Friday, November 27, 2009 Thanksgiving Holiday

Monday, December 21, 2009-January 1, 2010 Winter Break
