School Closing & Delay Policy
  • If your child’s affiliated school is closed for snow, they are not to report to Scarlet.  Scarlet will only close when the majority of our affiliated schools close. In the rare cases that Scarlet is closed and their affiliated school is not, your child is not to report to Scarlet.
  • If your child’s home school is on a delay, they will follow their schedule on a delay. So if they normally catch a bus at 7:00, they will catch it at 9:00 on a two-hour delay.
  • Be sure to watch the local news and listen to the local radio stations when severe weather occurs.

January 2014
Happy New Year!!  The Scarlet Oaks Staff and Administrative team hope that all of you enjoyed the winter break and that the New Year brings happiness to all.  With our weather challenges at the start of the New Year, our exams are being moved to January 15th and 16th.
As the end of the 2nd quarter arrives, we realize that the 2013-14 school year is at the halfway mark.  Our seniors are already starting to show signs of the infamous “senioritis” but we hope that by working together we can keep them focused on their education and putting forth their best effort every day.  Our juniors also need to remember that they have the opportunity to participate in classes during their senior year which will allow them to earn both high school and college credit.  Their participation in these classes is dependent on their performance their junior year.  If you need more information about this opportunity, please contact your child’s counselor.
The Ohio Graduation Test results were received prior to the winter break.  All students have been notified of their performance and the Scarlet Oaks staff is currently working on intervention plans for our students who will be taking the tests in March.  Extra help is available for all parts of the test.  Check with your student’s counselor for details.
As we review our survey data, we would like to thank all of you who participated.
Please check out our Upcoming Events to keep aware of our campus activities.
